In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from all aspects of the ARB Show 2023.
AN exciting new name for the ARB Show this year was Notch. Part of the Vertical Supply Group (VSG) – which now owns Honey Brothers and Treekit – Notch offers a variety of products including ropes and climbing equipment, PPE and gear bags.
Among the many innovations available to peruse on its stand was the Notch Glide, newly arrived in the UK, an intuitive cam-based horizontal and vertical work positioning lanyard adjuster which can be operated with one hand.
“It’s a massively useful device which has received some great feedback.”
Also attracting interest was the new Notch Dual Wedge. Like any wedge, its purpose is to stop a saw from pinching, but its patented interlocking design means the two sides break apart into two separate wedges. This saves space and still allows users to keep two pocket wedges on hand using only one harness connection point.
Max Storey, business development director for VSG, said: “It’s been a really good show for us. People have got their mojo back in terms of going to in-person events and it’s nice to be a part of it, getting the brand out there, holding some competitions and giving away over £500 worth of prizes.”
