In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from APF 2024.

WHILE it wasn’t the first time Serra Sawmills had been present at APF, 2024’s edition marked its debut in its own right.

Having recently changed UK dealer (with Essex-based Trials Equipment now selling its entire range), the manufacturer was keen to show forestry professionals just what its sawmills can do.

Demonstrating the capabilities of the electric ME 110 was long-serving Slava Filatov.

“It’s the first exhibition that we are doing together in the UK,” he said. “For us, it’s more important to have the good service for our customers.

“Today, I spoke with two old customers who say the service in Great Britain now is perfect and brilliant. We are on the right track.”

Serra was also recently taken over by Wintersteiger, which gives the manufacturer access to the group’s portfolio, including ski equipment and automation machinery.

“You buy Serra one time,” Slava added. “And then you can use it for a long, long time.

“People choose Serra because of our service. And because of Wintersteiger, we are producing all of the parts for the entire machine.”
