What is APF?
The APF Exhibition is the UK’s largest forestry, woodland, arboriculture, fencing and biomass show.
The show caters not just for the forestry, woodland and tree care industries but also fencing and is of significant interest to the farming industry, with lot of machines and equipment designed for small woodlands and for adding value to small parcels of timber and individual trees.
Producing and utilising timber as woodfuel, whether as firewood or woodchips, is also strongly featured, as are biomass boilers.
At the first show in 1976 there were around 50 exhibitors and a couple of thousand visitors. But by 2018, the show counted 320 exhibitors and 22,000 visitors.
Who will be there and what can you do?
More than 300 companies have booked space for APF 2022. From household names, to smaller, independent brands, you won't be left wanting.
There will be more competitions and events than ever before, including the Husqvarna World Poleclimbing championships and the A W Jenkinson and Tilhill European Chainsaw Carving championships.
New events include the UK Open Fencing championships, an international standard tree climbing competition and the Arb workers zone, as well as many others focusing on training.
If you'd like to exhibit, visit the APF website.
What have organisers said?
When it was announced the ARB Show would merge with APF this year, Arboricultural Association CEO John Parker said: “This is fantastic news for arborists. ARB Show has been a highlight of the event calendar for more than 20 years, and after two years of virtual events we are delighted to be able to announce this collaboration with APF 2022, bringing the show to a greater audience than ever before."
APF exhibition secretary Ian Millward added: “We’re thrilled to announce this new partnership; we’re excited to have the AA on board and are committed to making this a fantastic industry event."
How to get tickets?
Tickets can be bought for either one, two or three days, costing £21 per person, £37pp or £53pp, respectively.
You can also buy a group ticket for £19pp.
