ONE of Europe's largest forestry trade shows is only going to grow in importance, according to people who attended it in 2022.
Around two thirds of guests surveyed about Interforst, which was held in Munich last July, said they expected it "to become significantly or slightly more important" in the years to come.
Putting digital solutions at its heart, this most recent iteration saw forestry professionals come from around the world to see some of the industry's biggest names, including John Deere, Ponsse and Stihl.
Organisers this week released the results of polling carried out during the show, which also found:
- Forest regeneration and forest management were among the main topics of interest
- Guests found the show had implemented the latest industry topics effectively
- The DLG Forest demonstration arena, run for the first time, was widely praised
Petra Westphal, exhibition director of Interforst, said: "These results clearly show that we identified and implemented the latest topics in the industry last year at Interforst.

"We impressively succeeded this time in combining all the key fields.”
Jasmin Regiert, exhibition manager of Interforst, added: “The interplay of business, science and politics was stronger than ever before in 2022.
"That makes Interforst without a doubt the platform for people to meet and share.”
Interforst is due to next take place in July 2026.
