IT'S a traditional agricultural estate in Norfolk - and it could be your new place of work.
Lexham Hall, a privately-owned 4,400-acre estate, is currently searching for a forestry/estate worker to assist the estate forester in managing its 450 acres of mixed woodland.
Description
Your duties will include general forestry work which includes thinning, planting, weeding/spraying, biomass boiler management and firewood production for the estates small-scale firewood business. Other estate duties will be required of you such as grass cutting, stock fencing, help on the estate shoot days and other estate duties that arise throughout the year.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head Forester and should be willing to work as part of a team and on their own using their own initiative. Forestry experience is essential, and the ideal candidate will either have qualifications in Forestry and/or countryside management with other qualifications such as NPTC in chainsaw related operations, spraying, telehandler, tractor and forwarder operations.
An attractive salary and pension package is offered. Housing on the estate may be available.
