DEVELON, formerly known as Doosan Construction Equipment, has introduced two new mini-excavator models.
The DX17Z-7 with zero tail swing and the DX19-7 with conventional Stage V compliance offer improved performance, versatility, operator comfort, and simplified maintenance compared to their predecessors.
Both the DX17Z-7 and DX19-7 are equipped with the Kubota D902 Stage V-compliant diesel engine, delivering a 20% higher gross power output of 12.1 kW (16.2 HP) at 2400 RPM. The engine also boasts a 25% larger displacement and a 29% increase in torque, reaching 54.6Nm at 1900 RPM.
These enhancements contribute to overall reliability and reduce strain on the engine and other components.
Key features:
Versatile and durable upper structures: The DX17Z-7 and DX19-7 feature a novel platform design and new upper structures, enhancing durability and robustness.
Their compact dimensions make them well-suited for confined spaces in construction, landscaping, and utility projects.
Boom and arm specifications: Both models come with a standard 1.75m boom and 1.03m arm. An optional longer 1.23m arm is available for both.
The DX17Z-7 includes a cast 180kg counterweight as standard, with an additional 85kg counterweight for the optional longer arm.
The tail swing radius in the DX17Z-7 has been reduced by 6.5% to 645mm compared to the previous model. When using the extra 85kg counterweight, the tail swing radius increases to 720mm.
The DX19-7 features an integral 65kg cast counterweight in both standard and longer arm versions.
Front assembly protection: Cylinder guards shield the front assembly of both the DX17Z-7 and DX19-7, preventing collisions or damage. An optimised hydraulic hose layout, protected by the boom structure, minimises the risk of hose damage and failure. This design reduces the need for repairs and downtime.
Flexible hydraulics: Standard one- and two-way proportional flow control is accessible via a thumbwheel on the right-hand joystick.
Quick coupler piping is available on both models, allowing operators to switch to a quick coupler by pressing a safety button on the left console.
The 5-inch digital display in the cab provides notifications for quick coupler work.
