PONSSE has appointed a new area marketing and communications manager for Europe.
In his new role, Timo Savornin will also oversee the manufacturer's marketing activities in North America.
Boasting 15 years' experience in the industry, he has previously served as an area manager for several harvester head developers, most recently at Nisula Forest.
He has also worked as harvester and forwarder operator in Finland and France. Timo has a degree in forestry engineering and forest machine operating.
Timo will be located in Finland, and he will report to Jussi Hentunen, Area VP of Asia and sales excellence team lead.
His appointment comes amid a time of restructuring at the manufacturer, one of the best known in forestry. As part of sweeping changes to make it more sustainable, Ponsse cut 60 jobs earlier this year and has now divided its operation into five key market areas.
Elsewhere, one of the UK's leading attachment dealers has appointed a new managing director.
