A NEW partnership will see Terex's tree-care wing distributed in the UK and Europe for the first time.
Blue Machinery has been appointed as the official dealer of Terex Green-Tec, which was launched earlier this year to "provide a comprehensive product offering of tree care and vegetation management solutions".
Its machinery includes woodchippers, shredders, dedicated tree care handlers, mulchers and lifting equipment.
The dealer, which also lists Morbark among its brands, will provide comprehensive sales, service, and support for all Terex Green-Tec machines throughout the UK.
Sean McGeary, sales director at Blue Machinery (Central), said: “Both Blue Machinery and Terex recognise that the arboriculture industry in the UK is a market that is growing and maturing with a customer base that are demanding more professional, purpose-built mechanical solutions that allows operators to carry out the tree care and vegetation control work as safely and efficiently as possible.
"At Blue Machinery we have a track record of bringing specialist material handling and processing equipment to specific industry sectors in the UK and supporting it in the field.
"With the support of our existing supply chain and our own internal infrastructure for parts supply and breakdown and service support, Blue Machinery can become a first choice partner for machinery supply to the sector in the UK market place.”
As the exclusive distributor, Blue Machinery will offer the entire suite of Terex Green-Tec products through its three regional businesses; Blue Machinery (Central), Blue Machinery (Southern) and Blue Machinery (Scotland).
Jamie Mairs, business line director for Green-Tec, added: "Having our first distributor in Europe onboard is a significant milestone, enabling Green-Tec to expand its market reach and enhance the availability of our products and support to a wider audience.
"Green-Tec will benefit from Blue Machinery’s local knowledge while introducing our comprehensive portfolio of tree care and vegetation management solutions to the UK market.
"I am confident that our relationship with Blue Machinery will go from strength to strength.”
Blue Machinery will showcase the Green-Tec brand on its APF stand. The forestry show takes place between September 19 and 21.
