Created by arborist Chris Wyatt, the pieces – made from rope – include a John Deere logo, Husqvarna emblem, and Stihl Timbersports badge.

The finished work require hundreds of metres of ropes, many hours of work, hundreds of panel pins and a lot of glue sticks.

Chris said: "I started creating different pieces of artwork as a hobby and to recycle old climbing lines, which is a great way of upcycling.

"Two of the main pieces I made are very large and remain in the training centre.

"Going smaller has enabled me to create artworks, mainly logos for companies which I sell with all proceeds going to charities.

"With the APF fast approaching I thought what better place to take some pieces with me to raffle off all in aid of the Air Ambulance service which covers a huge area of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland."

Tickets for the raffle can be purchased on the Portable Winch/Fletcher Stewart stand (H3 and H4), and cost £5. People can buy as many as they'd like.

Speaking during 2024's Big Rescue Event, Chris explained why he supported the Air Ambulance Service: “I know of friends who have been airlifted by them. It’s not just arborists or foresters. It’s anyone working in remote locations who needs their help.

"Without support, it won’t happen. This event now is doing our little bit. We are hopefully preventing accidents and saving lives, while giving the Air Ambulance vital funds.”

George May, senior community fundraiser at the Air Ambulance Service, added: “It’s key. We can be off the ground within two minutes. When anyone is having any injury, it is very time sensitive."

Forestry Journal is the official media partner of APF and the place to catch all the news, interviews, and highlights from the show. The event takes place between Thursday, September 19, and Saturday, September 21.
