ONE of arboriculture’s leading manufacturers has released of two new products for the UK.
Notch Equipment says the fresh kit – a work positioning device and grapple – is designed to help arborists work safer, quicker, and more efficiently.
The launch continues the VSG Brand’s recent trend of releasing new products each quarter.
Said to be the ultimate climbing device, the Rope Runner Vertec is the result of a partnership between Notch and Kevin Bingham. Featuring tool-free adjustability, more friction settings, midline attachability without the need for slic pins, and an intuitive design for smooth descents, the Vertec is CE certified and compatible with ropes 11–12.9 mm in diameter.
Elsewhere, the RC Grapple will “make movement in the canopy easy”. A collapsible, retrievable hook, it was developed alongside Reg Coates.
When attached to the tag end of your main climbing line, you can use the grapple to get to a new work position while still tied in. Its low-profile, collapsible design is easy to store on your harness and will stay out of the way until you need it.
The sleek design is aerodynamic to use, fits into tight unions and will easily grab onto a limb.
