A MAJOR player in British arboriculture has taken delivery of eight new trucks from Isuzu – continuing a near 25-year relationship between the companies.
The six 3.5-tonne automatic transmission Isuzu N35.125(T) Grafters and two 7.5-tonne N75.150(E) trucks bolster Bartlett Tree Experts’ 60-strong mixed commercial fleet, which primarily consists of vehicles from the Japan-based manufacturer.
Working closely with TGS Group, the two 7.5-tonne rigids and four of the Grafters have been specified as versatile arboriculture tippers, with the remaining two 3.5-tonners featuring dropside bodies designed for specialist plant health care treatment.
Richard Trippett, division manager for Bartlett Tree Experts, said: “We’ve been coming back to Isuzu for more than two decades now. They’re reliable, hardy, manoeuvrable and practical – we’ve even got a few that have been in our fleet for more than 14 years that are still going strong!
“We generally specify the same Isuzu models; the chassis are ideal for our needs and have allowed us to work closely with TGS Group to refine the bodies, using a lighter design to maximise payload and performance.”
The specialist plant health care bodies feature two large water tanks, a pump and spray hose, plus injection tools for targeted treatment and care. The remaining six tippers include large tool pods directly behind the cab, with split rear barn doors to aid with green waste collection from a towed chipper.
All vehicles have been supplied with Isuzu Truck’s three-year, unlimited mileage warranty, which includes roadside assistance, and access to the Customer CARE team and national dealer network.
Richard added: “We have received excellent support from the team at Isuzu Truck UK over the years, both from the national sales team and from its dealer network. With locations all over the UK, we often turn to the local dealers for service and maintenance, who continually prove that customer care and support sits at the heart of what Isuzu offers.”
Bartlett Tree Experts offers a full range of arboriculture tree care services including fertilisation and soil care, insect and disease management, pruning, planting and transplanting for residential and commercial customers across the UK, Ireland, Canada and the United States.
