THEY are among the most popular vehicles in tree care, but two arb-ready Unimogs had been off the road for some time. That was until they were given a new lease of life.
The specialist utility MEWP units have been completely refurbished and brought back into action by aftersales partner Multevo on behalf of a specialist arboriculture contractor.
Having been in a long-term storage facility for more than three years, the Unimogs were unfit to drive, requiring body fabrication work, new lights, and a full set of new tyres.

With over 50 years of main dealer experience, Multevo – and its in-house Mercedes-Benz-trained technicians – ensured the work was completed without a hitch.
Ben Fury, service manager at Multevo, said: “The customer came to us to re-instate his vehicles ready for daily use with a utility customer.
“We assessed their Unimogs and gave them a full function and capability test using our test track and custom-built testing equipment.
“The Unimogs had been off the road for some time and required a lot of work to get them back to the level of reliability that they are known for. The work was carried out by our expert team of technicians, also involving the custom build of some parts of the vehicle. This was to accommodate the new rear-mounted attachments.”
The unnamed customer said: “Ben Fury was comprehensive and accurate in his estimate of condition and what was required to return the Unimogs to service.
“Parts ordered, servicing completed, MOTs passed and fully reconditioned, the units are now out on full-time contract due to the timely, efficient and not to mention friendly services provided by all at the Multevo team.
“Thank you from all of us for delivering this project for our utility customers across the country.”
