Aldi has sent shoppers into meltdown after a picture of their 'Party Snack Platter', or, 'Adult sized lunchables!' went viral.

The supermarket is a go-to for any family looking to save on the cost of Christmas, especially as prices continue to soar.

From turkeys to other Christmas condiments, you can be safely assured Aldi can cater for almost any need.

And now, they've tried their hand at an old favourite, platters.

On the Reddit thread CasualUK, a user posted a picture of the 'Party Snack Platter' alongside the capton: "Aldi bringing out the big guns this Xmas: adult sized lunchables! Finally a lunchables worth my time...

Needless to say, fans of the budget supermarket were overjoyed.

One commented: "Last year my husband and I got one of these as well as a fancy one with post meats and antipasti. Posh one was rank, this one was an absolute delight and we've already gone through a pack together. Time to stock up again soon!"

Soon, people demanded to know the price.

A shopepr asked: "Any chance you could let us know how much this cost? I would love to get one of these for myself, but it heavily depends on the price and considering lunchables are god awful expensive. I can only assume that this will be similar."

The user answered: "It's 4.99 I think but it's 4 times the size and the meat is better."

To which the shopper replied: "That's a crazy good price. That's pretty much what the price is for my Lunchables here. But then again, I live in New York, so the prices might be higher than other places."
