A festive episode of The Madame Blanc Mysteries will be airing soon on Channel 5, as Jean White (Sally Lindsay) investigates another convoluted case.

Created by Lindsay and Sue Vincent the crime-comedy-drama series first aired in 2021 and has lasted for three series so far.

It revolves around Cheshire antiques dealer Jean White who helps solve an array of mysteries and deaths in the fictional village of Sainte Victoire in the south of France. 

A synopsis of the Christmas Special on the Radio Times reads: "Jean investigates when a puppeteer is murdered after a Christmas Eve performance in a festive market in Sainte Victoire, with the victim found lying on the ground with a blood-soaked Guignol puppet still on his hand.

"Meanwhile, Judith receives a shocking Christmas card from a former bridesmaid, revealing a disturbing truth about her marriage."

Speaking with What To Watch on the episode, Lindsay said: "It's very Christmassy! I think it's got a cracking mystery in it, which is great, but there's also lots of romance and relationship stuff between Dom and Jean, and Judith and Jeremy, so there's a bit of everything for everyone, really."

The Madame Blanc Mysteries Christmas Special for 2024 will air at 9.15pm on Channel 5 on Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24).

Once the episode has aired it will become available to watch on My5.
