SELF-EMPLOYED workers will be able to receive a taxable grant worth 80 per cent of their average monthly profits over the last three years, up to £2,500 a month, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced.
The support will be available to people who make the majority of their income from self-employment, with trading profits of up to £50,000. Only those already in self-employment, with a valid tax return for 2019, will be eligible.
The support will be available no later than the beginning of June, the Chancellor said.
