CANADIAN Reid Stoyberg, an environmental scientist working on climate change research, is pictured enjoying June 2018’s issue of Forestry Journal inside the Arctic Circle.
The picture was taken at the very edge of the treeline at Fort Confidence, Dease Arm, Great Bear Lake. The trees are 100-year-old Black Spruce and the trunk on his left was cut down around 1840 for timber for the fort. The photograph was taken by David Tatam, a farm/forestry manager from Suffolk in July last year.
We love to publish pictures of Forestry Journal being read in unusual and exotic places, so please send in yours to editor@forestryjournal.co.uk.
