Grade & Salary: Grade 5 - £30,873 rising to £34,218 over three years

Role Purpose

•Forestry has never been a higher priority with increased focus on woodland creation, management of forests for multiple benefits.

Are you an experienced in woodland management and have a good understanding of forestry legislation? Are you a good communicator with a drive and passion? Then we’ve got the job for you!

As the Regulatory Woodland Officer for Mid Wales, you'll be responsible for assessing felling permissions against UK Forest Standard, or investigating offences under the Forestry Act. You must be a good organiser and able to prioritise work.

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge and experience of the forestry sector.
• Good understanding of commercial business processes and pressures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with regulated business and the public, explaining issues and gaining support by influencing.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of regulatory and enforcement processes.
