To serve the existing and expanding client base, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Forestry Consultant to support our Farms and Rural Business Services Division and help to grow the business. Work will include the budgeting, design, implementation and delivery of woodland creation, registering WCC projects, harvesting, restocking, small scale civil engineering projects, FGS grant applications, forest plans, management of forestry operations, budgeting, GIS mapping, and delivering forestry events and publications as part of the Farm Advisory Service.

The candidates should have a good all round knowledge of forestry, project management and planning skills and must be able to work on their own initiative. Experience and interest in the farming benefits of forestry will be a distinct advantage. You will preferably be a member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, or working towards this, and must have a Degree in forestry or a closely related subject.

You will be expected to contribute to the nation-wide team of forestry consultants, and be highly motivated and able to organise your own work programme to a high standard and on your own initiative.
